Good day. Does anybody know of a good Jaguar workshop/mechanic for my 2001 S-type, 3 litre in South Africa?
The agents in Johannesburg, Pretoria are charging ridiculous prices for repair work on cars that has past the maintenance period.
I need a good reference urgently, since I am having problems with my Air conditioner.

I dont know the layout of your area at all.

I did find by "google" that there is a Jaguar car club, and that is "usually" a very good place to start with independent service people.

No competent air conditioning shop is going to give a "discount". The cost of equipment to properly service air conditioning systems is very high. Maybe you should start a business and show us all how it's done?
