Start up sgs
Hi Chaps
Newbie here
Car:
Jaguar S Type V6 Petrol Auto 2003
The problem has "DEVELOPED" over a week or so
Iniially the car went into Limp Home mode...Once or Twice then reverted to being OK
Then I got "Gearbox Fault" warning.....Nothing seemed wrong
Then I went to start her one morning and got the dreaded "CLICK". However all the internal electrics (Horn, Lights, Alarm) were working
She started on a jump (From and MG!!!!)
After a run she started by herself....Great
Next morning CLICK CLICK CLICK
Ive read a couple of WIKI answers and it points towards a battery although one points towards a solenoid snag
Any ideas !!!!!
THanks

Sounds like your battery is not holding a charge. Get it tested and go from there. Check the cables for fit and corrosion. If it was the solenoid I don't think you would get the other faults. If the battery checks out OK then start looking for a loose or corroded ground strap.
