A nice warm day in Colorado, drove to the store about 8 miles away, a few block from there leaving a signal light the car hesitated as I took off, strange I thought-Park car at store and returned about 30 minutes later, car started but had trouble running, stalled, restarted, stalled and again but ran less each time (1-2 seconds ) now no start what so ever.
Checked fuel injection, fuel pump and ignition fuses, all ok. 3/4 tank gas. Do fuel pumps die that suddenly. Any suggestion out there ?

 

You might want to check the fuel filter; has it ever been changed...?

Check to see if there is fuel pressure at the schraeder valve on the engine above Bank 2. If not, fuel pump may be failing or seized.

Sounds like what we went through for a couple weeks with our 2000 4.0 when the fuel pump failed.

 

How repair kit ordered, (same as Ford) with new filter. Will keep you posted
