The lack of rebuild information suggests that the factory wants you to replace the unit with a new or remanufactured part. The gaiters and clamps are available as a separate part from Jaguar, but the internal seals are not. The actual rack from 2002.5 on is a ZF unit.

If you pull the rack and remove the gaiters, the seal numbers/designation "should" be available on the part itself. Hopefully the shaft is not scored and a seal replacement would suffice.

Replace the steering rack assembly and outer tie rod ends.

You can also have the steering rack assembly overhauled and shipped back to you. Perhaps someone in Australia can suggest a local source.

Is the steering rack leaking a lot or just seeping and not losing much fluid? The rack on my car has been seeping for years and very rarely I have to add a tiny bit of fluid. If that's the case with yours, I wouldn't bother with it.

I had a mate with an XJ who had the same problem. Every year before he took the car for its MOT he would drain the fluid from the rubber gaiters and re-clamp them.
