2000 , s type 3L se .
steering wheel still tilts up and down and goes in but now it won't come out .
Any ideas ,

Does anything happen at all when you try to drive the wheel aft? Do you hear the motor run, or perhaps a grunt sound as it tries to run but stalls? Or does it behave as if you had never touched the control switch?

Have you tried rotating the control switch? Maybe it got bumped from one mode to the other, and the system may work at least partially if you switch it back.
