I recently bought a 2006 Jaguar S-Type and am looking to fit a new double Din stereo system into it (specifically a BP800PLAY Blaupunkt stereo). Unfortunately for me, the 2006 S-Type has a large interface screen that controls a number of settings. I was wondering if it would be at all possible to retroactively install the climate control settings and panel from an earlier S-type allowing me to have the radio free to install and separate from the rest of the controls?
Is it worth all the trouble? Or am I just going to end up dissecting my car and loosing radio functionality?

 

Hi J, I looked into this for my 05 and pretty much you're stuck with the OEM system. Trying to "reroute" the climate and other functionality of the system is a nightmare. What are you trying to accomplish, better sound? Modern functionality like BT streaming, BT phone, etc?

I have a 2006 Jaguar S-Type which came with the radio harness already disconnected spliced and trying to install a double din and ain't having any luck do all the colors on the Jaguar match the radio harness that I have the radio that I have is a boss audio system Double-Din Bluetooth feature model number bv755b. It's an AM FM DVD Bluetooth SD USB 6.2 touch screen LCD TFT 12 volts 15 a negative round...

Problem that I am having is inside where the old harness is it looks like someone cut the wrong side there are two different harnesses that are connected to this vehicle I'm thinking that the harness I need to disconnect is this left side harness it's got more wires it looks like it fits the part the right side harness looks like it only has at least 10 wires connected to it the other one looks like it has every wire that I need after trying to connect my radio the car started beeping after I go 5 mph saying the parking brake is messed up please help this will be the last day that I even attempt to work on the vehicle because I feel like it's more damaged than it is salvageable
