I want to upgrade my stereo with a newer system that can handle iPod,MP3 and HD Radio. Are there any newer Alpine stereo systems for 2003-2007 S-Type that would plug into the optical adapters interfaced with my existing amplifier and speakers?

I have a 2005 S-Type with a deluxe sound system without Navigation.

There isn't an updated version of the OEM audio system but there is an add on module called the ACM or Audio Connectivity Module which gives USB, iPod and Aux in. You could get a HD Radio module that feeds into that.
