Default Stock or Aftermarket?

All right! Which is better:keep my 2003 STR stock and go for the clean, classic-car-in-a-few-years-down-the-road look, or add some aftermarket "enhancements"?

well just keep in mind you get abut 0% of what you spent in upgrades back most of the time

I have to say, that after looking around a little, with the low production numbers of the R, there's not a lot out there for upgrades. I ditched the Continentals in favor of BFGs and will most likely throw a K&N filter in the mix. Unique Whips - eat your heart out!

lol thats right, i did the K&N drop in myself was worth every penny and its pretty cheap. Also, the other thing i considered doing was exhaust cut outs, not very much money under $500. I also dislike continentals a lot, and tire rack for that matter now lol

If you do start modding, please keep it simple and respectable. After all, you are not driving a Civic.
Not that there is anything wrong with a Civic.

Check out these two sites for aftermarket parts.......

Maybe add a giant wing, coffee can mufflers, 14' rims (maybe even spinners? spinner hubcaps of course though). Maybe some cool graphics down the side as well and paint the windshield wipers white?

Some day....ha

Great comment 03JagSTR, Keeping the outside clean and get your motor up around 500hpis the way to go. I would do exhaust, these cars put out a great note with only modifying the mufflers. Taking out the H-Pipe (or changing to an X-pipe) and other exhaust mods can make the car too loud depending on who your asking....

I have duel electric cutouts on mine, I actually have them on three of my cars haha I'm in love with them.. it's the only exhaust system that you truely cannot go wrong with.. if you have a girl in the jag and its too loud, close them.. if some porsche rolls up next to you at the light, open them.. [8D]

They sound MEAN... the jag has a nice note, and as long as you don't decat the car, you still have enough back pressure that you don't lose any torque.. My girlfriend jumped on me when I had my digital camera in my pocket so I don't have one to take videos right now, but when I get a new one (maybe christmas) I'll get some videos of the cutouts posted..
