My car has a cone filter and i want to return back to the stock air box k&n setup. I have the lower peice, I just need the upper and was woundering was this compatible with any other types of s-type's.

 

I know 03+ uses the same panel filter nomadder if its a v6, na 4.2 or supercharged.

 

Unhappily, the STR air box is different from other s-types. Can't get the top as a separate item, gotta buy the whole unit.

I think Jaguar's price is in the range $350 - $400! I got one from a California wrecker's yard for $150.

 

Why the change from the hi-flow cone filter back to the stock airbox? I just upgraded mine with the Mina Performance Inake and am realy happy with the increased throttle response and blower whine. Granted its winter here in Ohio so the temperatures are not the sweltering 90+ summer temps but so far this has been a really solid upgrade for my 03 STR.

I have the complete box assembly from my recent upgrade complete with an almost new K&N flat panel filter, I could be convinced to part with it if you were interested PM me and we can work something out...
