Thanks jagv8 and Michael Star. The connector goes to the Aux Coolant flow pump. I couldn't see the connector before because I was viewing that pump from the top of the radiator and from the nuderside the view to the connector was block by some cooling hoses. Also from this diagram I'm able to see that the SC coolant flow pump is mounted to the metal "h"-shapped Bracket. and it monts to the from right side of the intercooler. Just need to know where the plastic connecor bracket and the wiring looms on the front underside and the right side of the engine from the top all the way out to the ends.

 

Unforunately I know no more than is in the various jag docs (not all of which I've studied in this regard). I tried to get at that area of my car once but it was all rusted up and I don't have a tool like a dremel so if I ever do need to get it apart I'm really going to be struggling.

Generally I've found the Electrical Guide PDF has had the wire colours, connector details etc I've needed once I've hunted through it. (I find jag's elec diagrams the best of any I've ever had for any car but that may just be me.)
