Default STR EGR Valve Part Number?

Does anyone know the part number for the EGR valve on a 2004 STR? Mine was cut when removing the supercharger due to rusted bolts and I now need a replacement.

Is it the same part used on the X350 XJR and X150 4.2 XKRs?

Thanks

Thanks but I checked the SNG catalog already, it doesn't list the EGR valve for the STR and says to call. I mostly want to know to see if its the same on the other supercharged models so I can widen my search.

Er.... it does list it. I just looked.

Well, it lists 2 for 2004 of course

There are other web sites that will list it and of course you could use the free download JEPC.

The part number is AJ88582, which may be superseded, so always provide the vehicle VIN when requesting parts from a Jaguar agency.

This particular part was used on several different vehicles both NA and SC.

Must be going blind, looked through the whole catalog and couldn't find it. Bottom of page 88 says to call for V6 and V8 petrol EGR components.

Did find this though which suggests the EGR is the same on all the 4.2 SC engines:
JAGUAR XK, XF, XK8, XJ AND S-TYPE EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION VALVE AJ88582

I posted before I read your comment, thank you!

I was exchanging messages with Avos about the EGR, and he sent pics of an older model and the current model.

Would they both be part no AJ88582?

Wow, the newer looks a lot more heavy duty compared to the old one. Judging by another thread on STR EGRs, I believe the part number is the same but I'm sure someone will confirm for certain.

It's definitely been a huge PITA to remove on my STR so you've been warned Robin!

My 2005 STR uses the bottom stye EGR valve assembly. It looks expensive too.

Can you post back where you got it and what price?

We don't see these going bad often so it's a bit hard to find out anything about them.

Very good advice about your VIN. Always give them the last 6 digits as many running changes were made.
