Like title states - I get this horrible smell when I am WOT or close to it.
The smell lingers in the car for a couple minutes.

Any ideas?

 

It would help to try to describe the smell, even referring to ones you know it's not like maybe.
At a guess, oil burning on exhaust?
How about causing it, then pull over immediately, open bonnet (hood) and see if it's there / stronger / where - and you might see wisps of smoke (perhaps).
Don't stop anywhere unsafe or where car could get stolen!

 

Are you sure you haven't pooped your pants with fright at the speed with wot, lol.

 

Has Yorkshire gone to the dogs?

 

My guess would be lambda sensors.

Have you checked the cars diagnostics for any codes?
