Curious were those runs with a stock paper filter, K&N, or the new filter you were talking about earlier.

 

All with the stock paper filter. Still waiting on the S&B cotton filter. They make one that almost fits it's just too short on the slats so they are making a one just like the OEM filter

 

Guys, On the Magnaflow hi-flow cats, you can use either the straight or angled ones. The angled cats are easier for the tech to install (less bending) but a skilled installer can properly radius the bend leaving no restriction.

Although they did throw one more material at me im tempted to try.

Reenforced sillicone hose. Greddy aka Trust, HKS and AEM are starting to use the material in place of alum, or SS hard pipe on thier turbo kits.

Might be another option to explore we shall see.

That might work. I've never had a problem with it, even post blower. The reinforced stuff is plenty strong for our application. It's probably be easy to combine some 3" alum tube with a pair of elbows. That would be super easy. Then it would just come down to the bung.

If you could find the right combination of parts, maybe then you'd just have to get the piece wtih the bung produced in bulk and sell those to forum members.

I'm headed to the track Dec. 2nd. It'd be cool to do a couple runs without it and a couple with it....

We are throwing up the option of the re enforced sillicone with a factory connector. One of the hurdles was integrating the fitting into the metal pipe now if if easier with the sillicone hose it's game on!

I saw mafioso's prototype intake the other night in person.. it looks awesome! This is going to be one of THE mods for the STR crowd.

Mafioso definately knows his S-Type factoids as well. In about 2 minutes he diagnosed my two CEL codes that I just blew hundreds of dollars on correcting (to no avail). $0.69c later my problems seem to be resolved.

Sorry for the lack of updates recently, I will be finally be getting the final product prototypes next week.

Im awaiting on the sillicone couplers to arrive and quick disconnect clamps to arrive as well. and then they will be ready to sell, as long as the forum gods allow me to.
