STR supercharged plastic cover
hi all
got a strange question, is that crappy looking plastic cover required on the STR? the reson i ask is everytime i see one on a picture its been removed? i know the supercharger has a tendedncy to heat up, would removing it not help with cooloing or am i missing th point a little??

Mine must have been removed by the former owner. And even though there have been back and forth on this forum about the k&n, I really like mine. At the very least the blower is louder.
Not to hijack this thread too much
... but i've been running a K&N air filter for 30,000 miles and have had zero problems. Last week I checked my intake pipe, inlet to supercharger and MAF sensor and they were clean as a whistle.
