Default Strange Key Fob Fault. RESOLVED

I had a strange fault last week on my STR. I had not used it since 20th December. Nothing unusual there as I often leave it for several weeks, but this time none of the buttons on either of the key fob remotes worked at all!

I fully expected a flat battery on the car and that when I did unlock the door with the key the alarm would go off as I opened it. So I left it to the daylight at the weekend to have a go.
But I was wrong!
On Sunday morning again the buttons would not work so I unlocked the car door with the key, and as I put the key in the ignition the seat adjusted just as it should, and the car started first time almost instantly just like always!
The key fobs then started working again as if nothing had happened!

My guess is it was a low a battery voltage problem. I will try it again later in the week.

Probably falls outside of your VIN range but Jaguar issued a TSB for this fault.

Thanks for that!
It does sound like the fault, but yes as you say it is outside my VIN range.
I have just tried it again this evening and it works fine!
I will leave it until Friday when I may be using it next.

Just a quick update...
In the end I did not touch the car again until this morning, ten days after I last tried the key fob that included several cold frosty nights.
There were no issues at all! The fobs both worked as they should and the car still had the seat memory etc. as usual.
I guess it was just a one off glitch that I will never get again?
But I will also try not to leave it unused for so long again.
It is usualy only about two weeks, sometimes three at the most during the winter, and a lot less in the summer.

Fingers crossed, I'll mark the thread as resolved.
