Stype Bluetooth connectivity problem
After not using the car for 4 days, my 2006 S-type (with the touch screen) disconnected my Iphone 4. My address book is gone too. I can not reconnect it. I went through the whole connection process several times. The car screen indicates that it is in Discovery Mode. My Iphone says "Connection Unsuccessful, Make sure "Jaguar" is turned on and in range. My Iphone still connects with our other car, so I know it's not my phone. What else can I try?? Thanks!
I would try a battery disconnect at this point, unless you would prefer to take apart the center console and disconnect and reconnect the bluetooth module. Basically try a reboot. If that didn't work then I would start by having the module(s) checked. There is a "phone" module and a separate "bluetooth" module.
I had a similar problem with a nokia N8, I had about 4 Jaguar connections in blue-tooth on the phone, I cleared them and then went through the process of pairing and downloading the phonebook, leaving the car switched off with the phone for 6 minutes, and since then 6 months, I have not had a problem
I disconnected the battery. After reconnecting, the Bluetooth still was not working. Now the Service says Registered. I can't get the Discovery Mode. My Iphone says "Connection Unsuccessful, Make sure "Jaguar" is turned on and in range.
Is the next step the dealer?
