stype r / embroidery on front seats??
i am wondering how hard it would be to have the "R" on the front seats stitched/embroidered like the emblems on the car? i think that this would be a nice touch on the inside... anybody do this???
They make all sorts of stick-on or iron-on colored fabric/paper, but the problem is you'll have to cut it yourself...Unless remove the fabric from and seat and put it back on without wrinkles and hog ties, embroidered will be super expensive...
Hello Carloner;
I don't know about Jaguar, but I've had this done for "Chevy". I had custom leather put in with the "Chevy" stitched into the head rest covers. I know that some custom makers won't add the Jaguar logo or name because of some resistance from Jaguar. That would look good on the seats though. Much better than that pressed "R" logo that we have now.
Drive On!!...

Looks great, but at what cost? I thought of a cheaper option...Find a custom patch maker make a couple of R patches then stitch them on...Guessing you'll save hundreds unless you have a connection to an upholster are or able to take the leather off the seat yourself...
Another cheaper option (I think) would be to just get the headrests embroidered; I don't know what years have power headrest vs non-power or how hard either are to remove...
