Default Supercharger belt Change

I can't seem to figure out how to get the old belt off the tensioner pulley. Any ideas?

The issue I am having is getting it off the tensioner. There doesn't seem to be enough room to remove the belt without taking the tensioner off first.

As I recall, it's spring loaded with a fair size bolt head which you turn against the spring to relieve the tension and then the belt can be taken off. It'll be in JTIS. I reckon it's been covered here before, too, so Search should get you it.

Michael Star - I ran into the same issue - you can loosen the tensioner bolt (13MM bolt size) - use a 1/2 inch drive 6 point socket not a 3/8 inch drive or 12 point socket - you'll risk stripping the points off the bolt - that bolt is on tight! Once you loosen the tensioner assembly you can slip the serp belt off the pulley or remove the tensioner assembly totally - your choice - but loosening the tensioner assembly about 3/4" away from the timing cover should give you enough clearance to slip the belt off.

One more thing - when re-tightening that bolt on the belt tensioner assembly - tighten it to 40 Nm (29.5 foot pounds)
