Default supercharger issue

I have an 04 S type R When I got it the engine light was on, I took it too a shop and they checked it and said they could not find anything...reset it and all the lights went out.
Immediately the car ran MUCH better and MUCH more power...after about 6 weeks the lights came on and the supercharger does not seem to putting out any power.
I contacted the guy I got it from and he said He Meant to tell me, the supercharger needed a sensor because it was not putting out full power.
Does this make any sense and if so what sensor is he talking about

The car cannot run properly if a vital sensor like that does not work. Just fix it.

Ps
Is this just an o2 sensor
If so I know where that is, but I have never seen an O2 sensor called a heater control circuit
and a bad one of these can make the gearbox light come on and make the supercharger not run boost?

If you can't do the repairs yourself I would get rid of the car now.
Sounds like it will be a money pit.

If you download a copy of the JTIS at the start of the s type forum it will help you great deal its is the eclectic workshop manual or you can go to http://www.jagrepair.com and get a copy of the pet file of the workshop manual.

I would also buy a elm 327 so that you can read the engine codes.
