Default Supercharger rattle

Ok, I have looked for posts to answer this question but can't find the right answer. I have a rattle that appears to be coming from the blower. My question is if I remove the sc belt, will I be able to drive my 03 STR until I can get it rebuilt? I have had some stuff come up and don't have cash on hand and unfortunately it is my only vehicle since I got rid of my truck. Things have been rough and I don't want that thing coming apart and destroying my engine. I know its a dumb question but I have never owned a supercharged vehicle before this. I appreciate any help in advance.

You can drive the STR without the blower belt. Send it to Stiegiemier (spelling?) for rebuild and port/smaller pulley.

Thanks, I thought so but wasn't totally sure. $695 seems pretty reasonable for a complete rebuild.
