I've looking to do a halogen->Xenon conversion. I know that I can't just go out and buy one of those HID conversion kits because the lights will glare and look like sheeeeeet. Has any one done a HID convesion without replacing the entire headlight assembly? Can it even be done?

 

I have done an HID conversion. I used VisionX bulbs and ballasts. They don't have a great cut off line and they don't project as far as I would like or have seen. On the other hand they do work so much better than halogens. One word of wisdom, the car will think that you have have a headlight out and will throw a DSC system fault. I have put in a set of resistors that were supposed to help but haven't yet done anything. If anyone knows about that, please let me know.
