Default Third Brake Light Broken

Hi, I'm new to the forum but not to my 2002 BRG Jag S-Type 3.0 with 105K miles. Although expensive to maintain properly, she's a beautiful motorcar and I'm hoping to get many more years of service from her. I noticed last night that the third brake light in my rear window was broken. I've no idea how this happened or even when. It still lights up but the fixture itself is cracked so it's just sitting there and moves about if I go over a rough spot too fast. Has anyone ever experienced this light breaking and is it a DIY fix? Any instructions as to how to effect the repair would be very much appreciated.

Jaguar issued a TSB in March 2000 (S417-03).
I uploaded it (and others) to the large file area.

If the mount tab has become loose from the glass you can get a glass company to reattach or get some rear view mirror adhesive and re-glue.

Thanks Motorcarman. It looks as though the mount tab has cracked in several places but I'll try to see if there is enough left to try the adhesive route. I do appreciate the suggestion.
