I like the BF Goodrich KDW's, they are a little pricier but I got a ton of miles out of them and I like the aggressive look.

At least they're American instead of Chinese.. Nexens never last me more than 6k miles. My Audi used to chew sets of those up in less than 5k. I know my driving isn't what some might consider "normal" but still, you should at least get 2 oil changes out of a set of tires..

Good God....are you guys just doing burnouts all the time or what? My P-Zero's and the set of Khumo's I have now have all lasted quite a bit longer than that.

Is it your alignment or you lead feet? lol..

Default Are the Khumos decent?

I've been thinking about putting a set of them on my 06. The Michelins on it now are about shot. I've been looking at the all season stuff that fits my car on the Tire Rack website, and, the Khumos look like a good deal. I can get them locally for about the same price as well. Appreciate any feedback you can give me about them.

Ended up going with a set of OEM sized (235/50-17) Falken ZIEX ZE-912 from Sears. Price and reviews were good. With 6000 miles on them they are doing very well and I love the grip and handling.

For the "base" cars I got a set of General Altimax HP 245/45/17. These are well reviewed on Tire Rack, ranked 2nd in their class. So far they have performed great and seem to be wearing like iron. For the R, I would look at the Ultimax UHP's

245/40/18 93W for 133.00 or 245/45/18 100W for 134.00

275/35/18 95W for 168.00 or 275/40/18 99W for 154.00

I listed the load rating because that is something that is very important when considering how well a tire will handle impacts. The larger the number the more weight the tire can handle therefore the stronger the sidewall. For example, I've hit some pretty bad potholes this spring yet nothing happened to my tires. They are a 95 load rating. The min for our cars is like a 90. So, look at that number as well when getting tires, especially low profile tires.

I had a set of Kumho tires on my Accord. They were a summer tire and I felt they performed just OK. They wore better than the Falkens but didn't hold a balance well and were noisy as hell. The Generals I listed above won't come up on a search unless you look for the 245/45/17 size. Tire Rack won't list this as a size that fits, but it is within .5 inch of the diameter of the 235s. They fit fine, perform great in the snow and rain, are very quiet, and handle great. I had the Michelins on mine, and thought they were terrible.
