Default Touch screen colour changes

For several years the touch screen has been having colour change issues. Normal colour sometimes disappears, and turns all green sometimes all red etc. etc.
It always however goes back to normal colour saturation so I've never really bothered.
That of course can't be normal and now its been stuck on red for some time now. All functions working but quite annoying.
Not sure if I need to check something else first?

Not looking to retrofit anything just a good used screen but the problem is these screens are 20 odd years old now but no choice if you're looking for originality.
Have seen several for sale over the years. To broaden the options, looking for some advice on whether the X350/358 or X400 units are compatible?
A few Japanese spares find their way into this country; are all these original screens globally compatible?

Cheers

Could it "just" be a connector?

Browse the Elec Guide in case it shows RGB etc.
