Can you provide a link the the tools. Just got the same message on my 2001 S-type along with the illuminated ABS light. My car still starts with no problem?

Traction control does not shut the engine off?
And it does not have anything to do with starting the car either?

Is that what is happening?
I think you have a different problem.

Have you got the codes read at the parts store first?
At least see if it shows anything.
