trouble shooting help please

2001 s type

when put in drive gear it buzzes no other gears do that

and have a rubber burning smell coming from the engine it seems --may be coming from the passenger side of the engine

female here smile

You need to have you codes pulled from the computer, once you tell us what codes are present, we’ll then be able to help a lot more.. Sorry.. just an FYI.. Even know you check engine light isn’t on, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t any codes to review..

Where is the buzzing sound coming from the transmission or the motor?
Does it make a clunk noise shifting into or out of gear?
Have you had your fluids checked, are any of them low?

The information above helps, but the codes really help
