Is there a way to change the foglights on a 2000 S-type 4.0 to make them look like the newer models? You know, just the little circles. I was wondering if the extra glass piece on the outside of the light could come off. Without leaving a wierd looking gap. Would I have to change the front bumper to do this?

 

Can you post an up close pic of the area? Do the mounting brackets look like this? This from a 2004. Let me know if you ned more pics? As long as the mounting point are the same it should work.

That is exactly what they look like. I wanted to switch them to just the circle shaped ones that are on the newer models. If that's not possible (or too much work) need to figure out something. The ones I have now aren't clear. I tried using a sandpaper kit but it's cloudy from the inside. There is a ring right in front of where the beam hits. Makes it look crappy when it's on.

 

The projector ring? Do the newer models not have projector foglights? Does it look like this one? As long as the mounting points are the same it should fit.

They look sort of like this except they are for the S-type. The ones in the pic you have I might consider because it has a very clear lense. I have some sort of ring that looks like it was devoleped by the light hitting the plastic over the years.
