warm on drivers side
take a big prybar and bang on the dual coolant control valve. Standing in front looking down, will be to you left under radiator hose. Easier if you have to replace it to pull fan pack to access. Valve has two solenoids on it.. Common fault.
If it is 2000-2002 then also you want to check the expansion tank. Make sure it has plenty water then run vehicle. Once up to operating temp, make sure it is not leaking by drivers wheel. That also is a common source of no heat. The heat on one side and cool on other is likely the dual coolant valve.

Was quite interesting, the heater tap was working correctly, i powered it up from a battery to check. It turned out that there was no signal from to Climate control module to thetwo solenoids on the heater tap, meaning it stayed where they were, the drivers side soldenoid was completely open hence the constant hot air, and the passengers was only open slightly which caused the passengers to be innefficient.
Interesting as yes it is usually the heater tap! Never seen this problem until now.
