the alky injection kit is the next mod to go on the car. I have a few house projects, a fuel system modification for the corvette (dual walbro pumps) and then I'll get to the alky injection. Good thing I didn't drink too much last night because I have a lot on my plate!

The idea was to baseline the car with no cooling, icing, fans, ect. Once I add the alky injection and figure out how much power it restores on it's own, then I'll get to maximizing performance. One thing I do is take on of those box fans and an inverter to the drags. After runs, I'll run the box fan until my next run. I'm going to go with a pit crew down the road and I'll have them bring a cooler full of ice so I can ice the intercoolers while in the staging lanes. I really want to get a 90 mph run out of this car. 90 in this car and 110 in the vette. Those are my current goals for this year with my cars...

I've been farting with the idea of a custom fabrication shop louver the area of the hood over the intercoolers.

Good idea, this is also what Jaguar did to the classic XKRs to aid getting air out of the engine bay quicker (this was not a cosmetic thing only). Just make sure it is designed in such a way that it sucks air out of the engine bay...

thanks avos, I understand your point on louver design. I'm picturing it as: The drivers side louvers cut out facing to the left and passenger side to the right?

Flow dynamics is a subject of its own, and needless to say one of the many things I don't know enough of.

All I know is that when you have an air flowing fast over a surface it has a lower pressure (or something), so that would actually create suction then. Don't put them to high up the bonnet, as there around the windshield area you get turbulences (high pressure, which is why you will find there the cabin air intake), which counteracts what you want to achieve. Difficulty (but maybe not for someone in the know) is the design and location.

Do you have some sort of picture with what you main, is it something like this?

Here is a generic picture that shows low pressure/high pressure zones over the car:

Here another one:
