Default What Brands of aftermarket tie rods, etc are good?

I was wondering if anyone has had good luck with aftermarket tie rods and other suspension parts. There are many brands and any feedback would be appreciated. I know one thing, do not get Timken loaded hubs for the front wheels. I got one a couple of years ago and there is already a little play in the bearing. Timken seemed like a good name. I also should have noticed that they have a one year warranty. I hope to have better luck with tie rod ends, etc.

get the real deal for the right side

https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/jag...-end-c2c020176

the left side is out of stock and i had to get this. moog is synonymous with trash but this part was made in turkey like the original and is holding up ok. lifetime warranty, ask them to upgrade you to the lemforder if it ever gives you trouble.

FWIW, I had new tie rod ends installed a few months ago by Les Schwab tire centers. I was getting new tires and an alignment, and one of the original units was found bad. Sorry I do not know what brand they installed, but no problems to report.

I see you hail from Northern California. They should have a branch near you. Since you will need an alignment anyway, and the installation labor was minimal, you might consider letting them handle the whole job.

Your originals are most likely Lemfoerder. Delphi (an OEM) also makes these at a reduced cost, roughly $30 vs $50 for the Lemfoerdder, You can also get these for $120 from the dealer.

Delphi is very good quality and an attractive price, IMHO. I would stay away from off-brand, or no-name, aftermarket components from that famous auction site...

I got lemforder at fcpeuro at a great price for the front lower control arms, rear lowers and rear uppers. They sell quick though

Thanks for all the good advice. I'll check Les Schuab too. I need the rear ones also, hopefully I can get a recommended brand for those too.
