Default What's this cnnector??

Hi all,

I've got a 2002 3.0 and I have a quick connection under the right side of the trunk floor. It is two wires connected to another 2 wires via a quick connect plastic deal. When I found it, it was unplugged. With the car running, I plugged it in and nothing happened. When I turned the engine off and took the key out, the engine was still running. disconnected it and all was well. What is this thing? Oh, it does have corrostion on it from when my trunk had a good 4 inches of water in it, So I'm guessing it is shorting. Don't you love that trick?

Any ideas?

Thanks

Thanks for the link to that discussion Rick. I was also wondering what to do with that connection that went nowhere. I will cut and tape. Also, got a new battery. Realized, with all the connections and power needs, a brand new battery is the best way forward. Thanks again.
