i just been offered a 2001 stype 3.0 litre v6 for parts need to know whether the box is the same as my current 2000 stype how can i find out

Should be the same PROVIDED they're both autos or both manuals

I think they'll have labels fixed to the sides of the gearboxes so you could compare those.

A 2000 and 2001 are the same, so all parts should be compatible. The parts car is early enough that major changes hadn't been made yet.
