Actually, I think the Corvette one year, or perhaps more, had a "Valet" mode that reduced the power to a very tame amount. Too bad Jag did not have something like that in the current Valet mode selection.

I'm probably in the minority but I would at most places. It's 9 years old with 111k on the clock. It's been there and done that.

I used to valet my 2003 very time I went to Reno or vegas, so I would use my valet key, and keep my firearms in the trunk,, safe and sound.

I can definitely say that not all valet's are car guys, most didnt even care if they were able to drive a ferrari or not. The STR is very under the radar, so chances are they wouldnt even know 400bhp is under the hood.

I let the valet park my car at a restaurant last night -- he drove my car all but 50 feet and parked it -- for that I tipped him $5!

I do everything I can to keep ANYONE but me from driving my XK8. Sometimes, though, you do what you have to do...

I'm trying to think of anywhere over here that has valet parking...

Not keen on the idea, but haven't thought of anywhere yet!

The Gatwick Hilton is the only place over here I've ever used it - wouldn't recommend!

Hmmmmm.........Good thing he didn't grab your girl friend and hold her hostage with the Jag, giving you a choice of getting only one back. After all, you would sure miss her!

I always use valet parking, but, I always tip fairly well. I like the security of knowing someone is watching my baby as opposed to leaving it in a public lot for any and everyone to do what they will. So far, so good. But if I caught someone driving my car without my permission, well, they would definitely have to try my karate :-)
