I have the xs bodykit of my 2005 s-type, i caught the front corner on a kerb so i want to remove it and get it painted. Does anyone know how to remove the front lower valance. There is a screw in the wheel arches, thats obvious but i cant work out what else is holding it on. I have looked on the 'Jaguar S-Type Workshop Manual 2003-2008' (pdf 3000 pages long) and can only see instructions for the front bumper. Its probably not that hard but i dont want to breask anything

 

Most likely double sided tape. It should pull off (although not easy). You could use a heat gun to help loosen the adhesive.

 

the damaged side is hanging down and at the top of the valance i can see the remains of thin tape or glue however the 2 vertical struts either side of the registration plate seem to be fixed to the bumper, so im not sure if these unclip or if they are secured in some other way.

 

I got it off at last, you need to remove the lower fog lamp grills, there is a bolt each side behind the strut. The guy is painting the full thing for £75 as there was more damage to the underside.
