Yellow roof warning light

Default Yellow roof warning light
2007 S type auto. On the roof console by the driver's mirror, between the reading lights and the front parking assist OFF button is a tiny yellow LED. It sometimes comes on at night. What is it please?

The light comes on with the headlamps, its simply a courtesy light and no there is no on/off switch. Some members have disconnected it, but that requires removal of the whole unit.
