So the XJ-S is DEFINATELY a female...!

The opinions you guys have of your women I'm not surprised that your Jaguars give you trouble. Most of you should have known what you were getting into before you ever bought the car.

Of course women and Jaguars are high maintenance! Which of us ever claimed to be a cheap date? And we're worth Every Single Dime of it, or you guys would kick yours to the curb and go looking for a "cheaper model."

Weeeeeelllll, its 3.45PM Friday here and 44c and I am bored, and the thread started on the 31/12 at 6AM, of which time zone I have NO idea??????. Me and this IT, unmatch made in hell.

The Black S Type needs some attention. Balljoints I think, which will be fun in the heat, NOT.

UPDATE:

Elinors post shows as 1.39PM Today, so it must show my time, whoopee, I learned something.

Elinor, 10 quotes in one post must be some kind of record. Guess it makes up for arriving late.

Or just like living life on the edge!

I learned a long time ago how to know what's expected of me in any given situation! I aim to please -- Unless it involves some shade of domestication. Then yer outta luck.

My beautiful lady is Candance:
Candace
noun;
1. An angel who mysteriously lost her wings.
2. Someone lovely who makes an entire room light up with just a smile.
3. A being of total perfection; flawless

verb;
1. to be someone completely beautiful on the inside and to hide it from the world
2. an act of being too gorgeous for words
3. to do things with caution; to be a perfectionist; to have OCD
4. Stacy told me that she saw the scars from where Candace's wings used to be.
5. Whoa, that girl looks gorgeous AND has class. Her name must be Candace.
6. This sculpture is flawless! No wonder they named it Candace.
What else can I say ??

My red XJS is a He and my blue XJS is a She. I keep hoping they will get things sorted between them and I will start finding off spring so I can harvest parts and sell off a few to get back part of me initial investment-LOL!!!

The XJS is beautiful, draws attention wherever it goes, is classy, maybe a little moody from time to time, and definitely enjoys a good night out as well as a bit of pampering now and again. Certainly more traditional feminine traits.

Also, the only named XJS I'd encountered before joining the board was named "Layla" - not exactly a gender-neutral name.

I vote female, otherwise my Savannah is having a little identity crisis.

I believe that if the word elegant, is used in the sentence and it always is, you must arrive along the lines of a 'she'. Since the XJS is not, nor ever will be referred to as a 'muscle car', the 'He' is therefor not fitting and the 'She' is.

thanks flint, thought youd never ask?

when i 1st got my car and studied Jags, it seemed to me they were very feminine ,like a sexy woman, thats fine, but i wanted a mans car, powerful, loud , show off, and very sexy, saying HEY everybody look at me.

so now when i'm at a show, the woman love it, the guys admire it with respect.

I have always thought of it as a depending on the owner's sexual preferences, it seems women tend to consider cars male more often than female. I am very anti-naming of cars, but I understand personifying them a bit. If anything it feels more like a respect thing, sort of like referring to female dogs as "momma."

I know of tons of guys and girls that have referred to cars as both, but in my experience usually the people that name their cars are people with shitty cars that don't have character, and they feel the need to name the car to make it their own and give it some personality.

Then again I know many women who also consider all cars to be female. So it is hard to say, I have just never ever seen a car that I would think of as being male. Isn't that how our culture works? Tons of other language have genders attached to objects, but english seems to either have no gender or female gender only.

seems that anyone who uses the English language(like the queen of england is a she), little mention of the King, name some material objects as she, and in the end it is the mother who mostly keeps the family together.

i think it is an island type mentality(think of many island countries,Japan ,UK, NZ, and others.
when the men were young they had dreams of going to sea in sailing ships, most never returned, so the mothers became the leader of the home , and somtimes she had to rule with force.

side effects were many became homo, men and woman, it is more common in island countries, not so much in continent countries, more or less!

i'm just mind wandering!
