I've always held certain bodystyles for male/female.
Pickups, estates (wagons), saloons (sedans), compact cars... Everything which has a sensible, purpose made shape, is male.
Everything else, like cabriolets, sportscars, coupés are female.
My XJ-S is certainly females. She got her nickname, Iron Lady, literally from the fact, that she was subborn as I was trying to board the ferry with her (exporting on own wheels) - she didn't want to start and run anymore. Luckily the previous owner removed the "start block" for starting in D... Like that I was able to force her aboard the ship She also gets regular PMS/PMT, leaking for 7 days and then being happy again. She'll start up perfectly but otherdays won't even accept the key. She'll have all warning lights off on one day and the next all on. The day after all off again.
So the XJ-S is DEFINATELY a female...!
And don't forget people, never trust a person who can bleed for 7 days and not die!

I don't know if either of my cars has a gender but I do get the sense that they appreciate someone taking care of them and that they no longer languish out in the cold unused and unloved.
They respond well to helping them run properly, look beautiful and to be driven as they were intended.

Can't live with her, can't live without her -check
Of course they are "she"
All Jaguars are. Except for that awful crossover SUV they are building. That's going to be tranny (as in a transvestite)
Should they come to life, my XJS would be Kristen Stewart, the E type would be Natalie Portman and the X type Kiera Knightley. Oh crap I have given too much thought to this.....

You guys are crazy Definitely a masculine car:
- sober, no frills interior - check
- timeless exterior which absolutely thumbs its nose at styling trends - check
- phallic hood / bonnet - check
- looks best in dark colors - check
- CIGAR (not cigarette) lighter - check (read your owner's manual)
It's a man.
