Cool F-Type R AWD order placed

After much head scratching and pondering on the colour I have just placed the order and put down the deposit woohoo
A bit of a punt on the colour choice as I have yet to see one in person...but as has been said many times on here f types look gorgeous in any of the available colours, and I fancied doing something different to the usual choice.

Black Berry
Sport Design with black pack
20" Gyrodyne black & diamond turned
Panoramic roof
Black calipers
Visibility pack
Parking pack
Cold climate pack
Reverse traffic detection with blind spot monitoring/closing vehicle
Smart Key System
Jet seats with Ivory stitching
Extended leather pack
Light hex aluminium console
Steel pedals and footrest
Flat bottom steering wheel
Aluminium gearshift paddles
Illuminated Jaguar tread plates
3 year service pack

Image from the configurator...hard to find anything in black berry online..

Now the wait begins! Probably looking at a May delivery. Maybe a light coma would help pass the time....

So 2 to 2.5 months from the time you order to delivery? Did they give you any indication on pricing, or did you just agree to a discount from whatever the MSRP is?

Congrats.

Cheers Yeah 10 weeks as a worst case scenario, they are going to see if they can interrupt an existing order (for dealer stock) in which case it could be as little as 6 weeks...would be great but no biggie either way.
Pricing is pretty much all confirmed, they werent willing to discount on an AWD model but eneded up giving me an extremely good price on my part exchange to make up for it. I am happy with the deal i got

How come all the black parts in the pic are a matt black?
Also dont rely on there delivery predictions, mine was 4 weeks later than they said!!
Good choice though you'll love it when it eventually turns up

Congratulations Horus! This is going to be a long wait -albeit one that's entirely worth it. I look forward to seeing that color in pictures or real life.

Congrats Horus!

Not many F Type R AWD videos out there but this one is pretty good. It shows what the dynamics of the AWD model will be like on the track.

Join the club; literally and figuratively as most of us here have watched, re-watched, and re-re-watched countless videos before during and after our F-Types arrived!

My two favorites - which, if I wasn't in the middle of something (else) I would post here for you - were the original Director's Cut of last year's Super Bowl "Villains" commercial*** followed by Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear driving the V6S convertible. And...countless others.

You are not alone!

***Jaguar made a big mistake in my opinion dropping the brilliant "Villains" campaign, folding under the pressures of political correctness and of being accused of promoting unsafe driving (mostly as depicted by the second of the "Villains" ads and the line, "brace yourself". BS if you ask me and considering all the wild stuff and stunts depicted in countless automobile advertising. That's what: Professional Driver and/or Closed Course and/or Do Not Attempt - all of the above - is for.

At least the villain is back in a Jag in the new Bond film. I love watching the behind the scenes youtube videos of the X-C75 chasing the DB10.

Even if Jaguar dropped it officially, I always use the #GoodToBeBad hashtag whenever posting on their social pages.

Congrats on the order Horus.

And spoken by Sir Ben Kingsley - "Oh yes...it's good to be bad" - carries with it special weight and importance.

Gee, wouldn't it be nice to hear that after start up. Maybe program it in after the center vent rises....

Woohoooo
Finally picked up the car from Paintshield in Peterborough where it was getting a complete covering in Xpel Ultimate I had it transported up there straight from the dealers when I took delivery of it a couple weeks ago.

It looks stunning, pictures don't really do it justice. And still have a massive grin from driving it back even if I did have to stay under 4k revs for the break in period ()

Am getting the alloys re-coloured as I don't think they go too well with the car atm. Will post some more pics at the weekend Other than that, am in love
