Default ZF Trans cooler conenctions.

Greetings good people ;o)
before I go pulling things apart, can anybody tell me
the size and thread of the gland nut that holds the
transmission cooler pipe to the radiator top fitting?
The pipe itself is 12mm O.D. and as close as I can get
the gland nut male (external) thread seems to be 21mm....at a
guess ;o)
I will need to get a male bolt or tube fitting with male
thread and barb fitting to fit in place attached to tube to refill
oil and the other to drain the oil.
Will save a whole lot of mess and stuffing about if someone
can tell me the thread size thanks ;o)

Hey Addicted....thanks for those measurements ;o)
Now I can go to my friendly garden centre and pick up
some cheap fittings ;o))

Just priced the Castrol Transmax-Z oil I want to use.....$92 for 4 litres!
Now that I have picked myself up from the floor and reached
for my glass of Jacks to numb the shock ;o)=)

That's a crazy price for transmax. I think it's about $8/qt or less here. There must be a better deal available. Someone found it on Amazon for that price for 3 gal.

I know that prices are higher down there, but someone should be able to steer you to a comparable fluid at a reasonable price.

Yeah well this is Oz...the land of the Rip off!
I want to stay with Transmax as I changed it five years ago and it was $72AUD back then.....$92AUD works out at $70US
This price was from one of the SuperCheap franchises....will do a bit of shopping to see if that can be lowered.
At least with the info I can now go ahead and set up my mess free transfer system.
I want to flush the entire system not just the sump.
I used to do it on my Volvo 850Turbo....that was a good car to work on ;o))

Cheers for the sizes! I'll be fittings a proper external oil cooler as my tranny gets rather hot... Now just to find a cooler that will work properly.

Where do you intend to mount it?
