Default Exterior Black Pack, yes or no?

About to order a 17 coupe in polaris white with 19" orbit gloss black and diamond turned wheels.
Just looking for opinions to help me decide if I should order the exterior black pack also?
Anyone have a polaris without the black pack? Wish you did?

Thanks.

you want the black pack, especially with those wheels. Better contrast against the white paint. I have the same wheels with an IRR coupe. Black pack looks great.

It's certainly personal preference but I find the black pack works well with the Polaris white. The chrome parts tend to blend in too much on white. On other colors the chrome looks great. I like the contrast the black pack gave mine.

For me, I like to eventually do the vents, outside mirrors, hood louvers, and front splitters in carbon fiber. I'm going to get the 20" Storm wheels next week and I think the carbon fiber trim goes well with it.

I'm currently on my second Polaris White F Type. The first one I got without the black pack. I didn't hate the chrome but I didn't like it either. Fast forward to my second F Type I got it with the black pack and the car looks much more sleeker. I had the side mirrors wrapped in gloss black. Everything really flows now. The 20" Gyrodynes I had powdercoated gloss black.

Mines IRR, but with dark grey/black Blade wheels and I have the black pack and it looks awesome. I don't think the chrome looks as good.

No question--get the Black Pack
It was a non-negotiable for me when locating my Type R

Good Choice. I agree with everyone's comments too. I'm currently looking for the white with the black package as well. I think the black contrasts the white nicely.

WhiteTardis,

Nice job on the wrapping the mirrors in the gloss black. Looks really good!!

Entirely colour dependent. White looks v. good with the Black Pack. Black, not so much.

Default I chose black pack ....

I just ordered 2017 storm grey with same rims as your ordered vehicle. Black pack is sporty, chrome is classy. You should do black pack for aggressive appearance .

Agreed, though black looks good with carbon fibre bits, once you get up nice and close.

IMO, the black pack goes best with the lighter and brighter colors, the chrome best with the darker colors.

Default My thought ...

I personally wanted a mono chromatic look at the car so I chose black pack. Plus my intention is to tint windows a light smoke color. Nice !

Yes on black pack, especially with white. Redone seats really set off the combo too.

IRR that didn't have black pack, vinyled side vents and dipped wheels to simulate the effect. Love it.

Actually, I think that's quite inaccurate. I have a black R with the black pack, and black disc brakes, and I must say it looks amazing. My second choice was white with the black pack, by the way. And of course, black interior on either one.

Some people like the "murdered" look and that's fine. For me, I don't. To me, if the car is too monotone, it ends up looking like a shadow on the road. Some people want their car to be very stealthy-looking, but you don't buy a F-Type to blend in with the crowd.

I agree. My car is rhodium silver with the black pack and the contrast is perfect. I think the chrome bits would have been lost with the silver. On black, BRG, and sapphire colours the chrome stands out.
