The Dealer Has it....

SUPER or ULTRA..it's all then same.... UK puts the super on it.....

As long as it is DOT 4 ESL..It'll work fine.

Don't know where you are located, but O'Reilly auto has it. My local store actually has the DOT 4 ESP in stock.

List: Search for 'brake fluid' | O'Reilly Auto Parts

No affiliation

channels. These requirements are described by the ISO
4925-Class 6 specification.
To meet these increasing demands Shell developed and

performance permits the use of advanced braking control
systems without the need for expensive pre-charge pumps.

The above quote is from Shell.
ESP stand for Electronic Stability Programme.
Brake fluid for that system is labeled ESP or ESL.
The fluid I cited is compatible with Jaguar.

I've checked into this a bit, and found nothing supporting your claim..I would hesitate going with ESP formulation just because you said it's compatible...My concern would be MIXING of the two formulations, since Jaguar STATES in their OM that ESL is to be used only and is what they sell for the Brake fluid. Nor does it ever state there is an "alternate" or "instead of" suggested or listed such as this ESP...

Use at your own risk is all I'm saying...The brakes on these cars is nothing to screw with or second guess.

I'm not trying to tell you which fluid to use. It is up to you. I did not say it was compatible on my own. I was stating what the manufacturer said.

I understand and not trying to argue. If you could, please post your reference of where or the document that said ESP is compatible with ESL formulations..that's all and then no doubt will remain....I am genuinely interested.

Don't know if this will satisfy you, but here goes:

Pentosin BF-DOT4LV-1L - Brake Fluid | O'Reilly Auto Parts

Then click on compatibility

damienedwards , DPK has made a simple and valid point , as long as it is dot 4 ESL .( and you have now found the product , all good . )

Dot 4 ESL and ESP can be safely mixed together , they are both dot 4 rated , and are both synthetic , the main difference is the WET and DRY boiling temperatures .

Oh and Bigg Will , I wouldn't worry out apologising for the thread hi jack , it's what forums are all about , you should be apologising for your rude and unnecessary comments .
