Finally arrived after three months from order. woot. Fit and finish is the best of the three I've had. I think I'm liking the coupe better than the convertible. The dealer surprised me (didn't tell me it was in but invited me in to do the paperwork. When I got there she was waiting in the showroom lol).

Congrats, the IRR is the constant, obviously a favorite color. It would be interesting to get your perspective on the 3 cars after you've had some time with it.

No infotainment changes for Ftype in 2017 unfortunately.

 

the only changes for 2017 (at least in Canada) are thermal glass and remote start using the jaguar remote app

I can't help but ask, how's the sound system. Will you listen to it and give us your opinion for its a 2017 model car and I'm wondering if Jaguar did anything at the factory to fix the audio problem so many vehicles have, reported by the forum members . Best of luck with your car!

 

What good is an N of 1 going to give you on 2017s? You'll find plenty of people reporting good sound systems on 14s, 15s, and 16s. Of course, you'll find plenty reporting bad ones too.

There's nothing magical about this or any previous model year changeover. They've all been essentially the same car, and JLR has the ability to implement process improvements at any point during a model year, which they claim to have already done w/ regard to the sound system. It's the same Meridian system in 2017s.

 

Thermal glass I assume cuts down on infra red light heating up the car's interior. The sound system quality is the same as my previous two F Types. Its ok (the sound quality in my Sport is very good); I had no expectations of great sound so no disappointments. I test drove a porche; the sound system (base unit) was exceptional.
