It all started with the luggage.. My wife's surprise birthday road trip!
Had a great road trip weekend, our first in the Jag!
It all started with the luggage. For my wife's birthday, I bought her the luggage set, along with roses, some cash, and a note instructing her to "pack right now for an overnight!"
Packed her up, and took to the road.
We drove 150 miles to the west side of the State to Saugatuck, a quaint little touristy artsy town with an awesome Bed and Breakfast. We stopped at a lighthouse during some light rain and fog.
Stayed at the Wickwood B&B. Exceptional place. The owner is also the author of The Silver Palate cookbook, so yes, the food was great.
Fabulous trip, great time in the F-Type, neat back roads on the way there, and with such a small trunk, we could only do so much shopping!!
Yep, that's my favorite type of sportscar/getaway weekend. Well done! ......and I LIKE that the F type limits her shopping (...don't tell her that though or she'll see through my apologetic look I give here whenever she wants to buy something bigger than a bottle of wine!) LOL

REALLY freaking cute. =) This is like empathy, and you're feeding me excitement!! Can't wait for our trip, so love seeing other people's fun!
I got the luggage, realizing the dob kit and laptop bag basically make it a 3 piece. The garment bag is fantastic. Very smart.
I've got a 3-4 week trip this summer, up the CA coast, through OR, WA, ID, to Montana's Glacier, then down to Yellowstone, the Tetons, then Moab, then Grand Canyon, Arches, Desert Valley and Yosemite. It's park traffic season, but I don't think I will mind... staying at some lovely properties that shall take away that stress.
