The route depends on if I go with my local club. They often wander through roads less travelled. To go that way I suspect they may go up via Highlands, Ruffy, Creightons Creek and onto the Hume, but you never know with them :-)

I normally just go Merton-Euroa-Hume if its just me.

Should be an interesting day I think, lots of variety.

We went on the Sunday last year and saw some good racing. Definitely keen to go again this year. We'll probably combine it with a trip to our daughters place in Numurkah.

We will be departing from Rotary Park , Alexandra , 8AM Sunday the 29th. If the coffee shop over the road isnt open the route will almost certainly include one. This lot dont travel well without coffee :-)

Coming from Melbourne , turn left at the intersection you arrive at in Alexandra. Rotary Park is on the left about 300 metres from the intersection. If you are joining us , let me know. Otherwise see you up there.

Great day for racing and checking out cars today, blue sky and cool temperatures.

The classics car park had about 500 cars in it , amazing variety of stuff. If you had club plates you got in which made for nice paved area parking.

Here are some pics from the day, starting with a few Jag oriented pics and then assorted other stuff.

Nice pics Steve, hope you had a good day out.
Looks like the Green SS got a bit warm on the journey going by the pool of coolant behind the front wheel.

A few cars were leaving their marks, I think the skidpan will be slippery-er next week.

I forgot to say the meet also includes ye olde bikes and sidecars. Some remain weapons even by todays standards. Also, sidecar people are just completley nuts. I did some pretty sketchy stuff over the years but I wouldnt do that. The races were handicapped and the top sidecar slicing through the field was quite a show, same in the bikes.

Yep ,those sidecars guys are nuts. A guy I know started chasing the NZ sidecar title back in the late 80's. He finally won the championship in 2013 after a lot of madness and injuries.

The Coopers were huge fun on the track, cornering on 3 wheels, scuttling around the Mustangs and keeping up with everything - except the Charger that no one could catch!

Great array of cars on display. Not usually into the Frenchies but couldn't help admiring this chopped DS...

Yes the Minis where great to see again. I was watching at turn 3 , the left hand sweeper and they where going buy with their rear wheel in the air. The guy in that Mini chasing Charger and the Mustang(?) was really working hard generating the pace he had. I remember watching them at Mt Panorama in ancient times , they were amazing across the top and down to Forest Elbow.

Sounds like we were in two different paddocks. They had a few hundred classic and "interesting" cars on the other side of the track opposite the tower. From the pics those cars look like they were over by the pits. Must get around to both next year :-)

A few there quite rightly agreed with you, when I left there were a bunch of guys gathered around it. Surprised you didn't collect some drool marks on the windows.

The Citroen was behind the tower near the Austin display area. That red Mini chasing the Mustang and Charger was incredible, maintained the same gap all the way - an incredible demo of Coopers capability.
