The factory disconnect tool for cooling system bleed pipes, situated on front end of
Part Load Breather Hose at front end of
left cam cover (looking from drivers seat)

Lots of info on the coolant hoses.

You can see how they are crossed coming out of the expansion tank, this "looks" wrong, so a lot of folks put them back incorrectly.

Another reason to take lots of pics whenever you undertake a repair job.

I believe most of the cooling issues I have seen on this forum in the last three years have been due to misrouted cooling lines -- as noted they cross and this does not look right to the uninitiated.

Using your cell phone camera to record the way it was is a super idea. Many times I wish I had done it!! I use to think that patience was the most important tool in your toolbox (borrowed from another member); but your camera might just rival it.

95% of problems with a well designed cooling system like this is through
ignorance of how the system works!

As for bleed pipes...a simple remedy is to remember that the top 'bump'
where the pipes connect on the expansion tank goes to front guard and
down to 'atmospheric catch tank situated in the front left guard/fender area.
The second pipe which attaches directly below goes over to the cam cover
and then attaches to bleed port on the radiator.

Also understanding how the rad. cap works helps.
There are two 'O' rings on the cap....the lower ring is the system pressure ring.....
As the system reaches running temperature and builds pressure it will overcome
the valve in the cap and send excess coolant to catch tank.
The upper larger ring is the atmospheric release.
As the system cools it creates a vacuum which over comes system pressure allowing atmosphere
to push coolant up from the catch tank....
....what could be simpler ;o]
