Hi Brian & Stu, I will be at the BP at 8am, Stu you know the area so leaving there at 8.30 as you suggest, with you knowing the area we will follow you to the Moby whatever it is for th next pick up.

Brian, I will PM you my ph number, if you or anyone else wants to hook up in Brisbane we will work that out. Maybe a 7.30 meet at the Officeworks car park next door to the 4X brewrey on Milton Rd,Milton if that suits.

Not to put a downer on this but the weather forecast is looking pretty grim.

If anyone is going to wait for us at Moby Vic's (Shell Servo at Johnston Rd/Wildhorse Mtn), please let me know. Also, please let me know if you will be at the NB or SB servo. Otherwise, I see no reason to stop.

A bit of history: Vic Walker opened the Mobil Servo's in 1987. The name Moby Vic's has stuck. http://www.sunshinecoastdaily.com.au...-vics/1594571/

Cheers,

Stu

Maybe meeting a couple of Brisbane guys on Milton Rd at 7.30, yet to hear from them.

If we leave the BP at 8:30am we will make it to the Air Museum around 9am. Doesn't matter to me because I can stand around talking cars for several hours! Remember to bring an umbrella!

Default Update

#Update#

I finally got in contact with Peter the event organizer today. Just confirmed all is ok and 930am start is good. As he mentioned it is $10 a head which is pretty sweet. He told me he won't be there on Sunday but a bloke named Ray will be there helping us get organized. The place officially opens to the public at 10am.

We talked about the forcasted rain also. Hopefully not too bad. He did mention that when there is a cloudy or rainy day on the coast he seems to get more numbers at the Aero museum as people tend to give the beach a miss. Who knows.

Well, with any luck it should be a hoot!

So this is who we got. Let me know if I have forgotten anybody or if any body else wants to tag along:

1) James (34by151)
2) Clarke (o1xjr)
3) Paul (paulyling)
4) Orville (Doc) [Maybe]
5) Doug and Lois (ozxj)
6) Bruce (Henry Crun)
7) Stu (StuG)
8) Rod (rocketa9x)
9) Rick (Rickxj6) confirmed.
10)Callum (callum.dean.terry) [Maybe]
11) 9 LIVES (Doug)
12) Cadillacs

Thanks for a great day guys!

I hope you all got back safely with this crappy weather. Surprisingly enough the weather was ok whilst we were there. The guys at the Aero club were real top blokes too and made us very welcome. Some pics below but I am sure you guys with the fancy cameras took some better ones!

Even though the weather did not cooperate, it was a great day out. Thanks once again Paul for organising the event and Clarke for keeping everyone up to date with additional posts and PM's. Thank you also to everyone who contributed to lunch (the best part of the day).

At 1:05pm the XJ40 was still marooned at NB Moby Vic's. My best guess is that it broke down in the past 24 hours and was removed from the Bruce Hwy as a precaution.

Cheers,

Stu

Thank you Paul for organising another great day out, and every one else for coming out with shocking weather forecast for the day.
Great to catch up with all, and few new members as well.
