not sure what this noise is I am hoping for some oppinions to maybe get me on the right track, ive been told big end, timing chain, roll a six to start pulley bearing, right before this crunching noise happened I lost oil pressure a mile from my home at the traffic light I drove home and havnt driven her since.

Thats one hell of a knock on startup ,big ends? the rest makes it sound like a bag of nails. From the post are you telling me you drove a mile with no oil pressure? If you had stopped it immediately it might have been salvageable reasonably cheaply but you need to brace yourself for a big spend now. maybe your best bet is a used engine from a breakers as new parts are not cheap and once you start stripping its difficult to know where to stop. sorry to be the bearer of bad news but noises are rarely good and even fewer are cheap to fix

Hi, Soon as i put my foot on the accelerator the oil pressure went straight back up. i found out the problem today it was the primary timing chain tensioner.
