They came from Mina and I'm very pleased :-)

Based on the pics you posted...I can't see what the grills look like.

What made you go with Mina over OEM?

I liike the 'minimal' look, no chrome no 'Growler' as I think it spoils the lines. Here are some better photos...

Did you remove the inside OEM grill?

Yes I did, Mina claims 'no need to remove bumper' but not quite the case.
I had my bodyshop do it, I guess do to the age of the bolts, it was quite a job.

I with you on the minimal look I really like it .

Your 100% correct the chrome/ badge do take away from the overall beauty of the car

I was going to mention that the Mina in your pictures looks better than most installs I have seen with it. Must be due to removing the OEM grill.

Thanks, the lower grille was really more of a series of plastic louvers.

A+ for effort, but I am not a fan. It looks like a cheap Autozone aftermarket grill that so many "lesser" cars have. Your Jaguar is a premium automobile and does not need any silly aftermarket items in my humble
opinion. Jaguar nailed it right the very first time.

I know others have said the '07 XK upper grill has a 'Ford Taurus' look, but I'm with Michael on this, and think it reflects and respects it's heritage in those iconic 'E' types. So that's one thing I don't plan to mod on my XK, but I certainly respect the decision of those that want to make their cars look the way they like them.

Not a fan of the winged emblem on the '07. Needless embellishment IMO. If you are careful, I believe the winged part can come off with out marking the grill and just buy a replacement badge...

Its all a matter of taste, and personally, I also am not a fan of the winged growler…. hence its gone. Bought a used oem grille form Eaby as well as the Growler badge. Went with the red as opposed to black badge and am glad I did.

Did a trial run with masking off the wing emblem to see how it would look

And it does appear the winged emblem can be removed to just fit an OEM badge

I only noticed that emblem can come off clean when I was throwing away the old grill when cleaning out my basement. I had replaced with the OEM metal grill and the original one was sitting in new grill box. Ironically, the new owner of my old XK lives near my close friend. I would've included the grill when I traded the XK in, but couldn't find it. The new owner did get a Carcraft Sun Screen...

In the meantime, you might want to paint the 'wings' black to minimize their look. Im guessing your trial run was done via black tape?

Simply masked it up using electrical tape I don't think I could go back to the chrome winged style again looks terrible !

With your grille did you purchase the badge seperate I like how its red, looks awesome.

It gives it a less modern look, not bad.

Yes, grille and badge were bought separately. The stock grilles are a very dark grey. As such, I painted both the upper and lower grille black and went with the red badge as imo it makes it stand out a bit.
