Looks like a nice clean car--going for it?

I have always found that the best deals for unusual or higher end used cars are when you find one that has been traded in at a dealer that has nothing to do with these vehicles. I remember years ago when I was shopping around I noticed a local Honda dealership offering an XK8 at a great price. So these other-main-brand dealers end up with this one oddball on their lot and want to get rid of it quickly. There is a local Mercedes dealer that randomly gets later models XK traded in and their tack is to first price it pretty fairly (but not great) and then a week later drop $5,000.

I have found that dealers don't want to touch these cars, don't want to give you **** for them, and say they would have to send it out to a repair shop that deals with them, that all that is too much and not worth putting on their lot.

No more room in my garage..I have a 99 XK8 coupe in carnival red that I'm very attached to..I never stop looking though..Part of the addiction! Here are a few pics of my baby..56k on the clock!

so you are not of the opinion that we all need both a coupe and a vert? Love the red color BTW.

Looks like a good deal to me. The question is why would someone trade in a beautiful XK8 for a Hyundai? My 2005 had about that mileage when I bought it. 60,000 miles later, it has needed very little in way of repairs. Love it to bits!

You're absolutely right, a coupe and a convertible belong in your garage! I've got mine...
And the Carnival Red is my favorite color as well.

Carnival Red was once my favorite color. But I decided I don't want to drive a red car all the time and Seafrost, being pastel, is so South Florida.
