Default Low fuel pressure after 5500 RPM

We are doing our Due diligence to bring our new XFR to it's original Base line of performance (before exceeding it).

It is running very well with no current codes, but I was feeling a drop off of power above 5500 rpm especially on long pulls. After monitoring fuel pressures (via the Torque app), I have noted a huge drop off of pressure at 5000rpm and above. From a steady 1950-2100 psi down to around 500psi or so during this power drop.
My general thoughts are:
1.) Fuel Pump weakness
2.) Fuel Pressure regulator problem
3.) Clogged fuel filter or sock/strainer

Any thoughts would be appreciated. I am not above replacing what is need, but I would love to hear from anybody that has dealt with this before.

Fyi: I have spent the better part of the day with searches relating to this here and on the web. From what I have seen, very few scenarios seem to exist with exception to the earlier year xfr's with pump issues (which is both good and bad news )

Sounds like your on the right track, but with no codes I would verify the supply pumps baseline pressures before I start replacing parts. Jag XFR is a sophisticated ride, with so many things that can cause low fuel pressure, throwing parts at it will get expensive real fast, I'd go to TOPIx https://topix.jaguar.jlrext.com/topix/user/loginForm and take a look at the fuel system troubleshooting chart and go from there. Keep us posted.
Love that color on your XFR too!

Thanks for the link. I just ordered a shop manual today. This looks to be a great alternative.

The first night I brought it home (a 230 mile trip), I once had a "reduced Performance" with a p0087 (low fuel pressure). I chalked it up to the car sitting for a bit without being driven (bad gas, etc...). Since it did not repeat itself, I looked past it.

Thanks Again! Great Color for you as well!

Follow up:
The solution was to replace the high pressure fuel pumps. Runs great now. Pulls through the rpm's without hesitation and there is extra fuel pressure to spare (as metered by the ecu).

Any ideas on what caused your HP fuel pumps to go bad?

tadbyd, any chance you can post up a copy of your invoice from the dealer? It's always interesting to see what parts are involved in these repairs.

Thanks in advance.
